The mission of the Business Partners, the Chamber for Uptown,
is to provide comprehensive support services and access to technical
assistance programs to businesses and economic investors located in and
serving Uptown. The assistance furnished by the Business Partners will
insure that Uptown businesses have the opportunity and tools to thrive,
and that the needs for goods and services in the community are met.

Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Drop-Off Day
Hazardous & Electronic Waste Drop-Off Day--Saturday, August 12thThe Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Drop-Off Day, sponsored by the City of Chicago, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and Best Buy, allows Chicagoans to safely dispose of hazardous and recyclable items. The event will be held on Saturday, August 12th, 2006 from 8:00am-3:00pm at North Park Village, 5801 N. Pulaski. To view flyer click here.Materials Accepted:The following materials will be accepted: chemicals, electronics, TVs, computers, phones, small appliances, light bulbs, paints, cleaners, solvents and unused medications. (Commercial, industrial and agricultural waste will not be accepted.) A symbol of Uptown's progress
 Of all places that evoke a particular image or culture in our minds, a tattoo studio is certainly paramount. However, be prepared for a great surprise! The new Uptown Tattoo Factory IS NOW OPEN! The Tattoo Factory has moved across the street to 4441 N. Broadway. The new studio has four times the space, and amenities including three 42-inch plasma screen TVs and ten 20-inch flat screens playing throughout the studio and satellite XM Radio. All the new high tech touchless features make a virtually touchless tattooing system. Come in and take a look at this futuristic update to an old Uptown business.

25-mile Bike Ride with Margate Park Block Club Sunday, May 7th, 2006, 7:45 amRide out at 8am, promptly! Business Partners will continue The Chamber's work for the business community, and continue to provide great events and programs. Upcorp has changed its name to Uptown United, which features two councils "Development Partners" and "Community Partners" as a part of our evolution to meet the growing needs of all segments of our community.
