Low Cost Microchip & Rabies Clinic


On August 15, 2006, the Uptown branch of North Community Bank at 4701 North Clark will be hosting a Low Cost Microchip & Rabies Clinic for residents of Cook County fom 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Pet owners will be able to have their pets microchipped or rabies vaccinated at the clinic (right at the branch) for a small fee. Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley for the Cook County Animal & Rabies Control will be on location at North Community Bank to administer the service.

NO appointment necessary, cash & check accepted. Only Cook County Residents with valid State I.D. or Driver's License

Fees:
$7.00 for the one year rabies vaccination with Cook County rabies tag
$21.00 for the three year rabies vaccination with Cook County rabies tag
$10.00 for the microchip

2006 Chicago Small Business Plan Competition



Held in conjunction with the City Treasurer's 2006 Small Business Expo on Friday August 11th, the Business Plan Competition will give entrepreneurs and start-ups the opportunity to submit written business plans and win money and prizes that consist of resources critical to a new business.

This year winners in two categories of start up, and existing small business hoping to reach their next level will vie for the 1st Place $7500 and 2nd place $2500 prizes.

Applicants for the Small Business Competition are encouraged to join this competition by submitting their business plans to the City Treasurer's Office by July 7, 2006, 4:30 p.m. (CDT), via U.S. mail, fax, or email. A panel of distinguished professionals from the financial, legal, marketing, and academic sectors will select 10 semifinalists, and then the winners will be announced at this years Small Business Expo.
